Audiobook recommendation: Written in Love by Kathleen Fuller
To find out more about my Granny Square of the Week project, click here.
This was my first ever granny square, and I have to say I thought it turned out pretty well. Since I’m using scrap yarn for these weekly granny squares, I don’t have a color scheme in mind, but I do like what I ended up with here. I might make a blanket out of these someday since this was a super easy square to make.
The tutorial for this granny square can be found here. Let me know if you decide to try it! 🙂

Phoebe, the heroine of Written in Love, loves to cook. I, on the other hand, do not. However, I do like to pin recipes with the intention of cooking someday, and here are some recipes that are either related to the book or some that I want to try. Jalon, the man who captures Phoebe’s heart, loves Hunan Beef, so you’ll find that recipe here along with more traditional Amish fare. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these recipes (or decide to try them). Happy cooking–and my favorite part–eating!
