One of my favorite things to do is to crochet for charity. The Knitted Knockers project that is new to me, and I found out about it from Lorri Ann Helberg, who runs Arkansas Yarn Co. in Malvern, AR. Here’s a video from our local news station featuring Lorri and her friends making Knitted Knockers.

There are several patterns available, along with information about the project, at the Knitted Knockers website. There’s also a pattern for us crocheters, too!

If you create a Knitted Knocker, I would love to see it. You can join my FB Group, Books and Hooks, and post your pictures there. Or post your picture on Instagram and tag me (kfbooksandhooks) and Arkansas Yarn Co. (arkansasyarnco), and use the hashtag #knittedknockers. I’ll be posting mine in the near future.

Lorri also sells beautiful hand-dyed yarns on her website Arkansas Yarn Co.

Two of the pretty yarns I picked up at Lorri’s shop.

Book Signing Alert: Mark your calendars for Nov. 2, 2019. I’ll be doing a special book signing at Arkansas Yarn Co. involving another fun charity project. Stay tuned for details!
