On today’s episode of “What’s on My Bookshelf”, I’m sharing an old book that a dear friend gave to me last year.
This book is falling apart, but it’s amazing. The copyright page is missing, but if I had to guess it was from the early 20th century, and I think it’s from England. There are all kinds of interesting “recipes” here, how to make furniture polish to how to cure cancer. I don’t recommend trying that last one, though. 😉
Here are a two pages from the book:
There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for how the entries are organized except for the section on food and the one on dying fabric. Also, the table of contents lists the number of the entry, not the page number, which confused me at first.
Do you have any old books you enjoy? Let me know in the comments!
