Recently I received a wonderful gift from my dear friend, Sandy. She’s a genius quilt maker, as you can see.
Pictures don’t really do it justice, although the colors are nearly spot on. The thread designs are made with variegated colored thread that looks almost metallic. Isn’t it beautiful? I just love it!
Right now, I’m working on a crochet wrap for a gift using this pretty yarn from Hot Springs Fiber Co. in Hot Springs, AR. This yarn is lovely to work with. It’s soft and very smooth on the crochet hook. Muted colors aren’t my thing, but I really like this colorway. It would go great with almost any outfit.
I think this is called the winkle stitch but I’m not sure. I’m just making it up as I go along. I recommend visiting Hot Springs Fiber Co. and looking around their site. Besides her gorgeous yarn Tracie has some terrific projects, items, and events going on. Check out the Blanket of Knowledge subscription box. I chose the Enchanted one, and I’m looking forward to making my first square. I’ll post my progress in upcoming newsletters.
